Bananas are an excellent source of nutrition containing 75% water, 12% sugars, 0.3% fat, and 1.3% protein. An average banana has only 89 calories. It is a good source of Vitamin B, Vitamin C, dietary fiber, and manganese. Bananas are also high in potassium. Another interesting fact is that bananas are radioactive, but their level of radioactivity is so low that it has no impact on the human body at all.
